Ege University adopts the Sustainable Green Campus policy, which prioritizes environmental awareness
in all its activities, carries out environmental activities in this direction, and aims to make sustainability a
culture of life for its students and employees during and after the education period. Ege University accepts
access to sustainable, safe, clean water as a fundamental human right. With this viewpoint, we aim to
implement sustainable water use, healthy and clean water supply, and water reuse with a holistic approach
and management approach that includes students, staff, society, and local and regional governments and
aims to ensure its continuity. Ege University's clean water and sanitation policy covers the following issues:

To plan clean water and sanitation activities within SDGs and Sustainable Green University principles.

Create a sustainable green university strategy and carry out institutional structuring.

Works to implement sustainable water use and reduce water footprint.

Working with the principles of zero discharge, zero waste, and water reuse, wastewater is made
reusable in the strategic plans of university units and in design, research, and development
projects to work to bring it to fruition.

It takes the necessary precautions for the economical use of water obtained from water resourcesfor
agriculture, landscaping, and human purposes and investigates alternative water sources to meetwater
needs.

University.

Ege University has been an environmentally sensitive university since its establishment. It has developed
many projects on clean water and sanitation and continues its work with the green campus sustainable
universityapproach. In the future, it will continue to work on sustainable water use, healthy and clean
water supply, and water reuse at national and global levels.
