4.3.3. Vocational training events (lifelong learning)
In 2024, under the title “Vocational Training,” a total of [number missing] events were organized at Ege University, with 9,747 participants in attendance. These events were open to the general public, including teachers, university students, local residents, parents, and private sector employees. Among these, 12 were conducted on an ad hoc basis, and 79 were organized as scheduled programs.
All events were publicly announced and shared with target audiences through both the university’s official website (egesem.ege.edu.tr) and the websites and social media accounts of the organizing units. Additionally, events organized to meet the vocational development needs of external institutions were officially communicated to the relevant organizations by formal correspondence.
Examples of ad hoc events include the “Reproductive Health and Midwifery Services in Disasters” program (Evidence 4.3.3.1) and the “What Is Included in Your National Cancer Screening Program?” interactive online meetings organized by the Cancer Research and Application Center.
Examples of scheduled programs include the Corel Draw Training Certificate Program organized by the Emel Akın Vocational School (Evidence 4.3.3.2) and the Applied Radiopharmacy Course conducted by the Institute of Nuclear Energy.
