16.2.5.1: Publication of the University’s Principles on Organized Crime, Corruption, and Bribery

Ege University views university life as a system in which students, academic staff, academic managers, and administrative personnel interact with each other and with the university’s physical, economic, and environmental resources and facilities. Within this system, there is mutual dependency among the actors, all of whom are subject to the same rules and principles, and this dependency is crucial for the functioning of the whole. There are aspects of this interaction and mutual dependence that cannot be regulated solely by laws and regulations and should be evaluated within the framework of the concept of “ethics.”

Ege University’s Ethical Principles cover a broad range of areas, from academic and administrative matters to human relationships, and they relate to the standards and rules to be followed in the university life and in the relationships of university members with society and the environment. Violations of ethical behavior principles are evaluated by the relevant units of the University within the framework of applicable legislation.
