Ege University

Access to Lifelong Learning Policy

In line with its goal of being a research university, Ege University attaches importance to lifelong learning, which is the process of completing personal, social and professional expertise development in order to improve the quality of life of both themselves and the individuals with whom they live together, as well as providing quality and qualified education with its scientific studies in line with its goal of a research university. In this context, Ege University's lifelong learning policy covers the following issues:

  • Ege University organizes trainings that support lifelong learning through centers such as "Continuing Education Center" and "Distance Education Application and Research Center".
  • Ege University also supports lifelong learning by developing educational activities and social responsibility projects for non-university stakeholders through different faculties and colleges.
  • The educational activities prepared by Ege University for lifelong learning through its education centers, faculties and colleges are open to all members of the society regardless of ethnicity, religion, language, disability or gender.

Ege University, which has been among the leading universities of our country in terms of both scientific research and educational activities since its establishment, also reveals its goal of being a pioneer in supporting "lifelong learning" with the educational activities it carries out for all members of the society and increases its number every year.

In the Strategic Plan of Ege University, which was prepared in 2019, updated for the years 2022-2023 and covering the years 2019-2023, a policy was also adopted to increase the "number of certified programs organized for the society within the scope of lifelong education" and "the number of certificates given in trainings organized within the scope of lifelong education". https://kalite.ege.edu.tr/files/kalite/icerik/stratejik%20plan2_compressed%20(1).pdf
