Education Outreach Beyond Campus
Ege University organizes various off-campus events that serve educational purposes. These activities are carried out by academic staff from different disciplines within the university. In addition, Ege University students also organize off-campus events under the supervision of academic advisors. These activities, usually conducted based on need, are monitored by the Office of Social Responsibility Projects Coordination. As part of the university’s community service initiatives, these off-campus educational activities may target specific age groups or be entirely open to the general public.
Ege University uses various publications and social media platforms to promote and disseminate information about its off-campus educational activities. These include:

In 2024, a total of 1341 projects were completed by staff and2081 projects were comp- leted with student participation. The total number of social responsibility projects is 1567. The project list can also be accessed from the relevant link. In 2024, EGESEM offered 159 different training programs, and 30,358 people received certificates. EGESEM training programs include Professional Development Training, Healthy Living Training, Sports Training, Foreign Language Training, Personal Development Training, and Skills Training. In addition to its certified training activities, EGESEM participated in 40 Social Responsibility Projects and three international congresses in 2024, and implemented 58 activities related to social integration and inclusion for disadvantaged groups. Over the past five years, Ege University Continuing Education Center (EGESEM) has gained significant momentum with training programs for children and those over 60, reaching 25,837 certificates in 2024.
In addition, there are free certificate programs open to the public prepared by various units of our uni- versity, such as vocational schools, institutes and departments. For example, Ödemiş Vocational Training School held free Organic Agriculture Certificate program which was open to public. Faculty of Literacy held a relief art certificate program which was also open to public.

Other units of the university also organized education outreach activities beyond campus both adhoc and programmed basis. A total of 30 programmed and 17 ad hoc activities were held for education outreach in 2024. Some of these trainings are carried out as Ad Hoc. For example, Ödemiş Health Science Faculty held a children’s festival as an ad hoc even. Another ad hoc event was hosted by the Cancer Research Center which hosted an event for patients and their relatives to inform them about National Cancer Survey Program.
The processes for project application and evaluation have been defined through the studies carried out by our coordinator regarding the "Number of Social Responsibility Projects Carried Out by Students" indicator, which is within the scope of the Higher Education Council Monitoring and Evaluation Criteria and Research Universities Performance Indicators.
