Education Outreach Beyond Campus
Ege University organizes activities with different content for the benefit of education beyond the campus. These activities are carried out by academic staff working in different disciplines of Ege University. In addition, Ege University students organize off-campus activities under the supervision of an academic staff. Generally, the activities carried out when needed are monitored by the Social Responsibility Projects Coordination Office. These off-campus trainings, which are organized within the scope of community service, can be held for certain age groups or completely open to the public. A total of 18,547 people (eighteen thousand five hundred and forty-seven) participated in a total of 117 (one hundred and seventeen) events held across the university in 2023.

Some of these trainings are carried out as Ad Hoc. For example, the Project Preparation Training Program for TÜBİTAK 2204 Calls was carried out by the Faculty of Education, Department of Computer and Instructional Technologies for teachers working in schools in different provinces based on needs (Evidence 4.3.4-1). In addition, the Kalben İzmir Meeting was organized by the Faculty of Education for families in the adoption process (Evidence 4.3.4.2)

On-campus educational activities, which were planned on a scheduled basis, were also carried out by various units of the university. For example, ÇEVMER carried out the 30 March International Zero Waste Day Save Your Food Campaign and the program Food Waste in Turkey free of charge and open to the general public (Evidence 4.3.4-3)

In addition, the Department of Archaeology of the Faculty of Letters organized the Excavation and Research Symposium of the Department of Archaeology of Ege University. (Symposium program https://arkeoloji.ege.edu.tr/fil es/archaeology/content/euabs.pdf). Another example of programmatic activities is the How Can We Develop Positive Peer Relationships in Children? It is a programmed public talk titled. Atatürk Health Services Vocational School-Optician Program, on the other hand, carried out the event titled Vision Health in the Healthy Aging Process with individuals over the age of 65 and enrolled in the 3rd age academy of Karşıyaka and Karabağlar Municipalities. Ege University has various publications and social media accounts for the announcement and dissemination of off-campus educational activities. Ege University TV (https://www.youtube.com/@egeuniversitesitv/playlists), which broadcasts on YouTube, publishes the content and information of various trainings.

In 2023, a total of 748 projects were completed by staff and 819 projects were completed with student participation. The total number of social responsibility projects is 1567.
